WRESTLING: CBA matmen split season-opening tri-meet

WENDELL -- Charles B. Aycock opened its 2016-17 campaign with a split on the mat during action against Princeton and Corinth-Holders on Wednesday afternoon.
The Golden Falcons defeated Princeton 54-18 and dropped a 42-36 decision to the meet host.
Seniors Josh Wallace and Tyler Marquard, junior Austin Doyle and freshman Tyler Hughes each logged a 2-0 worksheet on the night. Doyle needed a total of 59 seconds to defeat both of his opponents.
Aycock (1-1 overall) returns to action Saturday in the highly-competitive Demon Duals at Wilson Fike.
