Middle schools
* Volleyball: Norwayne d. Spring Creek 25-14, 25-17, 25-15 -- Norwayne concluded the season 13-0 and captured the Wayne County Middle Schools Athletic Conference Division I championship. Alissa Price and Virginia Edmondson combined for three blocks for Spring Creek, which ended the year 9-4 overall and 6-2 in Division I play.
* Volleyball: Grantham d. Rosewood 25-23, 21-25, 25-22, 25-19 -- Morgan Kennedy, Haley Toler and Abbey Parker posted six kills apiece for the Bulldogs, who earned a share of the WCMSAC Division II crown with Rosewood. Kennedy and Parker combined to serve five aces. Alissa Meadows contributed three kills and six aces. Sarah Game and Allie Lane each logged two kills. Grantham ended the season 11-2 overall and 7-1 against D-II competition. Allecia Langdon led the Eagles' attack with three aces and five kills. Rosewood finished 11-2 overall and 7-1 in D-II action.
* Football: Rosewood 48, Eastern Wayne 24 -- Jamin Jacobs accounted for two touchdowns, including a scoring strike to Hakeem Coley. Danny Stewart provided a touchdown. Nick Barrett rushed for 50 yards. Earlier this week, the Warriors handed Mount Olive a 28-0 loss. Barrett rambled for a pair of touchdowns. Stewart and Jacobs supplied one TD apiece.
