Middle schools
* Football: Norwayne 22, Dillard 18 -- Omar Tucker tallied all three touchdowns for the Cobras. Clay Matthews contributed a two-point conversion and paced the passing attack along with Drew Spencer and Ashton Perrozinni. Defensive leaders were Tucker, Elisha Davis, Chris Ellis and Tylil Faison. Norwayne (4-1 overall) entertains Mount Olive next Wednesday.
* Volleyball: Spring Creek d. Brogden 25-11, 25-10, 25-9 -- Alissa Price served three aces, while Virginia Edmondson provided one ace in the Gators' three-set sweep of the Rams. Spring Creek (9-3 overall, 6-1 WCMSAC Division I) plays host to Norwayne today.
