CROSS COUNTRY: Princeton's Sullivan takes 4th in Mideast 1A; area results

Sullivan finishes 4th

* CARY -- Princeton senior Austin Sullivan qualified for the season-ending N.C. High School Athletic Class 1-A men's state cross country championships with a fourth-place effort in the Mideast Regional.

Sullivan ran the 5k course at WakeMed Soccer Complex in 17 minutes, 11.96 seconds.

North Duplin's Haley Thurston punched her ticket to the state meet with a fifth-place time of 21:18.91 in the girls' portion of the 1-A race.
