UMO: Trojans' Adams ranked 30th nationally among D2 golfers

MOUNT OLIVE -- The University of Mount Olive men's golf team is ranked No. 22 nationally among NCAA Division II teams, according to the first Golfstat poll released this season.
The Trojans have competed in two fall tournaments, tying for seventh overall in both the Kiawah Invitational and Jay Jennison.
UMO has a 73.02 team stroke average and defeated No. 17-ranked Lincoln Memorial (TN) University during the Jay Jennison. Conference Carolinas foe Limestone (SC) College is ranked 18th.
Junior Nick Adams, a graduate of Rosewood High School, leads the Trojans with a 71.46 stroke average and is ranked 30th among individuals by Golfstat.
The Trojans return to action next Monday at the Phoenix Invitational, a three-day tournament hosted by Elon University.
