VOLLEYBALL: Blue Devils sweep Cougars

DEEP RUN -- South Lenoir dealt Goldsboro a 25-21, 25-20, 25-22 loss on the Eastern Carolina 2-A Conference scene Thursday evening.
The Blue Devils exited in a four-way tie for the ECC lead with Goldsboro, North Lenoir and Ayden-Grifton. All four teams are 2-1 in league competition this season.
Becca Pittard paced the Cougars' offense with 12 kills.
Dakota Jones dug up 23 balls on defense.
Goldsboro fell to 10-6 overall.
