VOLLEYBALL: Wayne Christian extends win streak to 11

Wayne Christian extended its win streak to 11 with a 25-12, 25-20, 25-9 triumph over Covenant Christian in a Coastal Plains Independent 1-A Conference match Tuesday evening.
Setter Kasey Norris handed out 28 assists and served four aces. Hannah Sladick contributed 14 kills and two aces. Hope Shook supplied eight kills and six aces.
Mercy Wright and Ashlee Harrison delivered three kills apiece.
Holley Gurley and Sarah Sawyer combined for three digs on defense.
The Eagles (16-1 overall, 7-0 CPIC) return to action Friday in the two-day Bob Jones University High School Invitational.
