* Volleyball: Princeton d. North Duplin 2-0 -- Kalli Jones led the Bulldogs with three kills and four aces. Harley Parker had two kills. Hannah Byrd contributed one kill and one ace. Lily Eklund dished out five assists.

* Girls' tennis: Rocky Mount Academy 7, Wayne Country Day 2 -- Diya Shreenath and Grace O'Daniel each emerged victorious in singles play for the Chargers. RMA earned four singles points and swept the doubles. Wayne Country Day (2-3 overall) plays host to Christ Covenant on Thursday.

* Volleyball: Spring Creek d. Rosewood 25-27, 25-18, 15-9 -- Shae Odom recorded three aces and dished out 12 assists during the Gators' comeback win. Mikayla Price contributed three aces, six kills and one block. Emily Dupuy had three aces, one dig, five kills and one block. Allana Atwell, Miyah McCall and Laine Marak combined for six kills in the Eagles' road loss. McCall recorded two solo blocks. Atwell had two digs on defense. Freshman Rylee Myers registered five assists.

* Volleyball: South Central d. C.B. Aycock 25-16, 16-25, 15-8 -- Sophomore Daelyn Brock turned in a team-leading seven kills. Ansleigh Byrd had four kills. Teammates Victoria Patnaude (three blocks) and Lydia Butler had three kills apiece. Butler, McKenzie Norris and Brock combined for nine aces. Brock and Abigail Lancaster posted 16 digs each on defense. Norris distributed 11 assists on the day.

Middle schools

* Volleyball: Christ Covenant d. Wayne Christian 25-10, 22-25, 17-15 -- Christ Covenant scored the final three points to pull out the three-set win.
