Stalen Massengill tallied the game's lone goal in the opening half and Rosewood slipped past nemesis North Johnston, 1-0, at Branch Pope Field on Tuesday evening.
"It was kind of a bend, don't break mentality," said RHS head coach Eddie Maldonado, whose team had less total shots and corner kick attempts than the Panthers.
Massengill's goal was unassisted.
The Eagles (4-2-0 overall) put their four-game win streak on the line next Monday at Hobbton in the Carolina 1-A Conference opener for both teams.
