VOLLEYBALL: Lakewood knocks off Spring Creek

SALEMBURG -- Lakewood handed Spring Creek a 25-10, 25-13, 25-20 loss in the Carolina 1-A Conference opener for both teams Tuesday afternoon.
Ivet Carreno dished out 12 assists for the Gators.
Fernanda Martinez paced the offense with five kills. Kayla Herring posted three service aces, three digs and three kills.
Shae Odom had seven digs.
Spring Creek fell to 2-6 overall this season.
