VOLLEYBALL: Howell has 21 assists in Goldsboro's road victory

DUDLEY -- Riley Howell doled out 21 assists as Goldsboro cruised past county rival Southern Wayne 25-16, 25-17, 25-23 on Tuesday afternoon.
Amber Pfennig and Dakota Jones led the defense with eight and seven digs, respectively. Pfennig also delivered six kills.
Becka Pittard logged 13 kills. Middle hitter Makayla Roberts recorded five kills and three blocks. Marcy Taylor served four aces.
The Cougars (4-4 overall) play host to Neuse Charter today.
