VOLLEYBALL: Golden Falcons sweep Bruins

WILSON -- Tanika "Mookie" Powell paced a balanced offensive attack with six kills during Charles B. Aycock's 25-8, 25-21, 25-13 non-conference conquest of Beddingfield on Monday afternoon.
Arlanda Faulkner and Mackenzie Wheeler contributed five and four kills, respectively, in the road win. Taliyah Green provided three kills.
Powell, Hannah Carter and Hunter Tillman each served four aces. Carter dished out 22 assists among nine hitters.
Junior libero Cassandra Lassiter emerged as the defensive leader with 12 digs. Tillman registered 11 digs, while Faulkner collected nine digs.
CBA had 58 digs as a team.
The Golden Falcons (7-0 overall) travel to Hunt on Wednesday.
