ECBL: CBA White stops GC Red

SNOW HILL -- Charles B. Aycock White pushed across two sixth-inning runs and turned back Greene Central Red, 3-2, in an Eastern Carolina Baseball League contest Tuesday evening.
GC led 2-1 after five innings.
Blake Dilda, Trey Smith, Clay Matthews (two RBI), Ty Smith and Tyrie Artis each provided a hit in the road win.
Dilda, who earned the mound win, surrendered two earned runs on four hits and struck out five in a six innings on the bump. Trey Smith secured the save with one inning of one-strikeout relief.
CBA White travels to Southern Wayne Blue for a doubleheader on Thursday. Game 1 starts at 5 p.m.
