County athletes receive All-ECC 3A/4A accolades

Coaches and athletic directors from the split classification Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference have announced their all-conference selections for fall, winter and spring sports.

Here are the all-ECC honorees from Eastern Wayne, Charles B. Aycock and Southern Wayne:

FALL

* Men's cross country: Joseph Mooneyham (CBA), Cole Atwood (SW), Deshawn Owens (CBA), Bless Thomas (SW), Cameron Sims (CBA). Coach of the year -- Butch Bennett, C.B. Aycock.

* Women's cross country: Fiona Pedrick (EW). Player of the year -- Pedrick, Eastern Wayne.

* Football: Offense -- Chandler Matthews (CBA), Damien Darden (CBA), Jeremy Person (CBA), Elijah Bryant (CBA). Defense -- KK Best (EW), Manny Walker (SW), ShaQuan Bell (EW).

* Women's golf: Abby Sauls (CBA), Leah Campbell (CBA). Coach of the year -- Roger Rhodes, C.B. Aycock.

* Men's soccer: Chris Grieve (CBA), Jacob Norris (CBA), Juninho Sanchez (CBA), Zach Zacharzuk (CBA), Dallen Edwards (CBA), Darwin Sura (SW), Ulysses Ramirez (SW), Christian Anderson (EW), Ethan Quinn (EW). Coach of the year -- Byron Adkins, C.B. Aycock.
