Chargers advance to NCISAA 1A dual-team semifinals

Wayne Country Day advanced to the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association Class 1-A dual-team semifinals for the third consecutive year with a 5-0 victory over Ridgecroft School.
Sam Dively, Hunter Hawkins, Young Wang, Charlie Dees and Nolan Davis each claimed a singles point for the Chargers.
The No. 5 singles match was not completed.
WCDS (8-7 overall) opposes either top-seeded Statesville Christian or eighth-seeded Wayne Country Day on Friday at Barton College. First serve is 1 p.m.
