Pendegraph stays unbeaten, Rosewood edges CBA

Collin Pendegraph remained unbeaten in 13 singles matches this season, and Rosewood upended county rival Charles B. Aycock, 5-4, in non-conference play Wednesday afternoon.
Pendegraph defeated the Golden Falcons' Austin Doyle 6-4, 2-6, 1-0 (10-8) to keep his unbeaten record intact. Teammates Chase Bartlett, Lucas Parrish and Marc Lewis each prevailed in their respective singles match.
The Eagles' Bartlett-Pendegraph won at No. 2 doubles.
Aycock received singles points from Matthew Hare and Nolan Casey. The tandems of Hare-Nick Coston and Casey-Jonas Creel each won on the doubles scene.
One day earlier, Charles B. Aycock claimed two singles points during a 7-2 loss to Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference foe J.H. Rose.
Nick Coston won at No. 2 singles, while sophomore Sam Andrews prevailed at the No. 3 slot.
The Rampants took third-set tiebreakers at Nos. 5 and 6 singles.
Aycock concludes regular-season play at home today against county archrival Eastern Wayne.
