CBA's Holt qualifies for regionals in shot put

HOLLYWOOD CROSSROADS -- Trevor Holt posted a regional-qualifying distance in the shot put and Charles B. Aycock claimed the team portion of an Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference meet ran at D.H. Conley on Wednesday afternoon.
Holt logged a mark of 48-feet, 7-inches in the shot put and also continued his season-long domination with a first-place throw in the discus.
Deshawn Owens claimed first in the 800- and 1,600-meter runs. The Golden Falcons captured the 800- and 3,200-meter relays. Joseph Mooneyham secured first place in the 3,200 run.
Aycock compiled 101 team points. Eastern Wayne collected 67 points, followed by D.H. Conley (60) and Southern Wayne (23).
