Cox has hat trick in Cougars win over GC

Melissa Cox collected a hat trick (three goals) as Goldsboro hammered out an 8-0 victory over Eastern Carolina 2-A Conference foe Greene Central on Tuesday evening.
Makayla Roberts, Abigail Lewis, Tziah Kelly, Yulisa Torres and Anna Prezbindowski each tallied a goal. Roberts handed out two assists.
Kelly, Ivey Wade and Angelica Nacea had had one assist.
Goldsboro's defense of Ja'Queria Braswell, Victoria Holmes and Yulisa Torres worked to allow the Rams just one shot on goal.
The Cougars (7-4-2 overall) entertain North Lenoir on Friday.
