Princeton's Wood no-hits Rosewood

PRINCETON -- Hailey Wood threw a no-hitter and smashed two home runs offensively as Princeton cruised past Rosewood, 13-0, in a five-inning Carolina 1-A Conference affair on a chilly Friday evening.
Wood ended the night 3-for-5 with five RBI. Inside the circle, the right-hander walked three and retired 10 Rosewood batters on strikeouts.
Brianna Myers and Casey Mitchell contributed three hits apiece. Emily Ricks batted 2-for-2. Megan Bryant and Beth Braswell each had one hit.
Princeton (9-1 overall, 6-1 CC) plays host to Southern Wayne on Wednesday.
