Brogden tosses shutout, Rebels mash three home runs

SEVEN SPRINGS -- Haley Brogden threw a one-hitter and recorded 12 strikeouts inside the circle during North Duplin's 12-0 triumph over Carolina 1-A Conference foe Spring Creek on Wednesday evening.
Brogden smashed a grand-slam home run, while Courtney Brock belted a home run and tripled during a 3-for-3 performance at the plate. Shaily McCarty swatted a home run and ended the night 2-for-2.
The Rebels (11-1 overall, 6-0 CC) visits Lakewood next Tuesday.
