North Duplin's Pate no-hits Hobbton

CALYPSO -- Rylee Pate threw a five-inning no-hitter as North Duplin pounded Hobbton, 11-0, on the Carolina 1-A Conference scene Thursday evening.
Pate retired 13 Wildcats on strikeouts.
Alyssa Santos, Taylor Jones and Pate contributed two hits apiece in the Rebels' ninth shutout of the season. Haley Brogden (three RBI) swatted a home run.
Mikayla Koch (two RBI), Courtney Brock and Shaily McCarty (RBI) each had one hit.
North Duplin (10-1 overall, 5-0 CC) concludes first-half conference play Tuesday at Spring Creek. First pitch is 5:30 p.m.
