Wayne Christian topples Northwood Temple

FAYETTEVILLE -- Wayne Christian pushed across two seventh-inning runs and eased past Northwood Temple, 6-4, in a Carolina Christian 1-A Conference game Tuesday afternoon.
The teams were tied at 4-all after six innings.
Holden Foster, Jaxon Anderson, Mason White, Ryan Kennedy, Seth Harrell and Will White each had one hit during the Eagles' road win. Foster and Anderson each had one stolen base, while senior catcher Hunter Burt stole three bases.
Will White picked up the pitching win. The right-hander permitted four runs (three earned) on eight hits, walked six and struck out three in a complete-game performance.
