North Lenoir blanks Goldsboro in ECC 2A action

La GRANGE -- Garrett Letchworth logged 17 strikeouts and yielded one hit as North Lenoir opened Eastern Carolina 2-A Conference play with a 22-0, five-inning decision over Goldsboro on Tuesday evening.
Braxton Greene and Zach Turner cranked out three hits apiece for the Hawks. Letchworth, Alex Jones and Drew Rogers each provided two hits.
The Hawks had 18 hits for the game.
North Lenoir (5-6 overall, 1-0 ECC) visits Greene Central on Friday.
