Grace Christian seized a three-goal advantage and handed Wayne Country Day a 4-3, non-conference loss on a breezy and cold Tuesday afternoon.
Langley Barnes, Margaux Pope and Janae Jones each collected a goal for the Chargers. Ally Willman delivered two assists.
"The girls worked really hard tonight and didn't give up the fight against a strong opponent," WCDS head coach Steve Ellis said. "We never stopped working and with a bit of luck we would have won the game. Confidence is building in the team and we've been unlucky in our games so far, this was a huge confidence boost moving to our next two games this week."
Weather permitting, Wayne Country Day (2-6-0 overall) travels to Freedom Christian on Thursday.
