Golden Falcons blank Saints in ECC 3A/4A tennis

PIKEVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock posted seven shutouts -- four in singles and three in doubles play -- during its 9-0 conquest of Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference foe Southern Wayne on Tuesday afternoon.
Top-seeded junior Matthew Hare, senior Nick Coston, freshman Nolan Casey and freshman Jonas Creel each held their respective opponent scoreless in singles. Teammates Payne Casey and Austin Doyle also prevailed in straight-set fashion.
Hare-Coston, Doyle-P. Casey and Creel-N. Casey completed the shutout outcome in doubles.
