UMO's Lancaster recognized

MOUNT OLIVE -- University of Mount Olive baseball coach Carl Lancaster was named one of The Five Best Coaches in Division II Baseball by Hero Sports.
Lancaster has been at Mount Olive since 1987.
The Trojans are currently 18-14 overall this season, including a weekend series win over Conference Carolinas archrival Barton College. The article lists Lancaster in company with Chris Hanks from Colorado Mesa, Mike Kinnison from Delta State, Joe Urso From Tampa, and Bob Fornelli from Emporia State. Lancaster has amassed a 1034-453-1 record since his beginning at Mount Olive in 1987.
The Trojans have an Division II World Series championship, two regional championships, 12 Conference Carolinas tournament championships, 14 Conference Carolinas regular season championships, 14 NCAA tournament appearances and two NCAA Division II CWS appearances under Lancaster's leadership.
