Rosewood claims Carolina 1A golf meet at Lakewood CC

SALEMBURG -- Dylan Champion posted an 18-hole score of 84 as Rosewood emerged victorious in a Carolina 1-A Conference meet contested at Lakewood Country Club on Monday afternoon.
Jeremy Mercer (88), Dylan Greene (89) ad Cameron Klages (94) completed the Eagles' four-player total of 355 -- 20 strokes lower than meet host Lakewood.
Andrew Ingram also participated for the Eagles.
Princeton finished third in team competition with a 388, followed by Spring Creek (409), James Kenan (412) and Hobbton (413).
Spencer Woodard led PHS with a 92. Forrest Tanner and Matthew Herring submitted scorecards of 97 and 98, respectively.
Lakewood's Griffin Faircloth claimed medalist honors with a 73 -- three strokes better than runner-up Cole Pridgen of James Kenan.
