Golden Falcons' Carter triumphs in two track events

WINTERVILLE -- Three Charles B. Aycock competitors combined to win four individual events during a three-team Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference meet contested at South Central.
Cyerra Carter claimed the triple jump (33 feet) and high jump (5 feet). Arlanda Faulkner emerged victorious in the long jump with a distance of 15 feet, 2 inches.
Bre'onna Bryant won the 100-meter dash in 12.85 seconds.
Taylor Daniels placed second in the 400 (1:04.0). Annika Petereit turned in a runner-up time of 17.12 seconds in the 100 hurdles, and was third in the 300 hurdles (55.79).
Lexus Pridgen seized third place in the shot put (24 feet, 4 inches) and discus (57 feet, 11 inches). Kassandra Sandoval ended up second in the 300 hurdles (55.23) and third in the 100 hurdles (17.91).
South Central won the team portion of the meet. The Golden Falcons took second and New Bern placed third.
