CALYPSO -- North Duplin pushed across three sixth-inning runs and turned back Lakewood, 5-2, in a Carolina 1-A Conference game Tuesday evening.
The Rebels had just two hits -- one each from Dustin Carter and No. 9 batter Ricky Cameron. Carter's double ignited the sixth-inning outburst.
Cameron emerged as the winning pitcher.
"(I'm) proud of the guys for battling back and picking up a big win," ND head coach Chuck Crumpler said.
