Rosewood boys reach Carolina 1A semifinals

WARSAW -- Rosewood advanced to semifinal-round play in the Carolina 1-A Conference tournament with a 54-45 victory over Spring Creek on Tuesday evening at Harmon Gym on the James Kenan HS campus.
Ethan Chapin claimed Rosewood's top-scoring honors with 18 points. Tucker Chapin scored 13 points and Zack Barnes had eight points.
Najee Young paced the Gators with 11 points and six rebounds. Jamerion Dawson contributed nine points and eight rebounds. Dominique Morse contributed nine points and five boards.
Rosewood (11-12 overall) faces second-seeded James Kenan at Lakewood on Thursday. Tip-off is 6 p.m.
