New Bern girls cruise by C.B. Aycock

NEW BERN -- New Bern posted a 23-point second quarter and cruised past C.B. Aycock, 68-42, in opening-round play of the Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference tournament Tuesday evening.
Tanika Powell led the Golden Falcons' offense with 15 points. Taylor Daniels registered 12 points. Connor Vinson and Hannah Vinson collected five points apiece.
CBA ended the year 7-17 overall.
