Aycock boys build lead, hang on against DHC

HOLLYWOOD CROSSROADS -- Charles B. Aycock raced to a 17-point lead and barely escaped D.H. Conley, 48-46, in opening-round action of the Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference tournament Tuesday evening.
Cameron Kornegay emerged as the Golden Falcons' top scorer with 13 points. Keyshawn Cobb delivered a 10-point performance. Ian Best knocked down nine points.
Semaj Yelverton and Alex Mooring provided six and five points, respectively.
