HIGH POINT -- University of Mount Olive sophomore guard Felicity Havens earned Conference Carolinas women's basketball player-of-the-week honors for week No. 12.
Havens, who hails from Wilmington, posted double-digit scoring efforts in two of three UMO victories. She pumped in a career-high 25 points against Southern Wesleyan, and followed up that performance with her first-ever collegiate double-double -- 24 points, 11 rebounds against Erskine..
The Trojan women return to action Wednesday at Converse (S.C.) College.
Women's lacrosse
HIGH POINT -- University of Mount Olive midfielder Alysha Kulka received the Conference Carolinas women's lacrosse player-of-the-week for week No. 2.
Kulka scored 15 points, that included eight goals in three Trojan victories. She posted four goals and four assists (eight points) in a 20-2 romp over league foe Converse (S.C.).
In Sunday's victory over Wingate, Kulka scored three goals.
The Trojan women return home Saturday to face in-state conference rival Pfeiffer University.
