New Bern shuts down Eastern Wayne in 2nd half

NEW BERN -- New Bern posted 60 second-half points and cruised past Eastern Wayne, 87-56, in an Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference game Wednesday evening.
The Warriors led 29-27 at halftime.
Rhysante' Ellis knocked down 30 points, including 15 from 3-point range, to lead the Bears' offense. John Tayloe added a double-double -- 12 points, 12 rebounds.
Matthew Ray-Sutton and Marcus Rouse paced EW's offense with 14 and 11 points, respectively. Eric Agee collected nine points. KK Best and Yeonte Royall supplied six points apiece.
Eastern Wayne entertains J.H. Rose on Friday.
