SC snapped a seven-game skid.
"I was very proud of our guys mostly because this is the first time this year that we really put a complete ball game together," Gators head coach Taylor Jones said. "We have been playing really well, but our inexperience has led to letdowns throughout the game that has given us real issues.
"Tonight, we were very determined to play with maturity."
Luke Britt led the Rebels' attack with 15 points. Malik Cobb registered nine points. JP Payton scored seven points. Melik Williams scored six points.
Weather permitting, the Gators (3-13 overall, 2-5 CC) play host to Lakewood on Friday. The Rebels (3-10, 1-6) play host to Neuse Charter.
