Sutton, Teachey pace Spring Creek's attack

SEVEN SPRINGS -- Destiney Sutton and Tysha Teachey each flirted with a double-double during Spring Creek's 73-32 conquest of Carolina 1-A Conference foe North Duplin on Tuesday evening.
Sutton recorded 19 points, nine rebounds, four assists, six steals and two blocked shots for the Gators. Teachey contributed eight points, 12 rebounds, two steals and one blocked shot.
Amber Buchan pumped in a game-high 23 points, pulled down five rebounds and picked the Rebels for five steals.
Rylee Pate posted eight points for the Rebels. Daja Aycock and Courtney Brock collected seven points apiece. Shaily McCarty knocked down six points.
Spring Creek (6-10 overall, 4-3 CC) plays host Lakewood on Friday, while North Duplin (1-11, 0-6 CC) entertains Neuse Charter.
