Princeton's Daughtry picks up 2 wins at Pierce-Davis Memorial

BETHEL -- Princeton's Michael Daughtry seized two individual victories apiece during the 24th annual Pierce-Davis Memorial wrestling tournament contested at North Pitt High School.
Daughtry bounced back from a quarterfinal-round loss to record consecutive falls over Greene Central's Jared Fields and North Pitt's Evan Smith. His day ended with a 5-1 loss to Tarboro's Quadarrius Hopkins in the consolation semifinals.
Teammates Luke Brush (120), Benjamin Bayles (126), Christian Peedin (195), Skylar Shields (220) and heavyweight Rian Tew each claimed an individual victory.
The Bulldogs travel to Cleveland on Wednesday.
