* Boys' basketball: C.B. Aycock 42, Rosewood 36 -- Sophomore Marquez Farmer paced the Golden Falcons' offense with 15 points. Sophomore Damone Greenfield added 12 points. Muhammad Brooks, Kamarion Graham and Tayquan Hampton -- all sophomores -- provided five points apiece. Aycock travels to South Johnston on Monday.
* Girls' basketball: Southern Wayne 42, Goldsboro 22 -- Machiah Moore knocked in a team- and game-high 19 points for the Saints. Caroline Summerlin and Zaria Coleman each provided seven points. Akia Drumgoogle and Dajah Teachey knocked down seven and five points, respectively, for Goldsboro. The Saints (4-2 overall) travel to Princeton Tuesday.
* Boys' basketball: Goldsboro 81, Southern Wayne 57 -- Aaron Smith torched the nets for a game- and team-high 34 points in the Cougars' road win. De'Quan Pigford and DeQuan Bynum contributed 17 and 10 points, respectively.
