Goldsboro girls finish 1-1 at Dark Horse Tip-Off Classic

CLINTON -- Tyona Moses dropped in a team-high 26 points in Goldsboro's 63-54 loss to Clinton on day two of the Dark Horse Tip-Off Classic contested on Clinton's home court.
Destini Covington added nine points.
Moses torched the nets for 34 points in the Cougars' 66-36 romp over Lakewood on Friday. She connected on 11 field goals and shot 8 of 10 at the free throw line. A senior, Moses is 66 points away from 1,500 for her career.
Covington chipped in 16 points.
Goldsboro (4-2 overall) travels to county rival Eastern Wayne on Wednesday.
