Perennial volleyball power Louisburg sweeps Rosewood

LOUISBURG -- Perennial powerhouse Louisburg eliminated Rosewood 25-23, 25-13, 25-16 from the N.C. High School Athletic Association Class 1-A playoffs Tuesday evening.
The fourth-seeded Warriors (24-1 overall) remained unbeaten in 13 home games this season.
Rosewood, the Carolina 1-A Conference regular-season runner-up, ended the year 15-10 overall. Statistics from the three-set match were not submitted to the News-Argus.
Three of the top four seeds -- Roxboro, Princeton and Louisburg -- advanced to third-round play, which is scheduled for Thursday.
Voyager Academy upset second-seeded Camden County in five sets.
