WINTERVILLE -- Manny Walker rushed for 88 yards during Southern Wayne's 44-0 loss to South Central in an Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference affair Friday evening.
Quentin Carlton accounted for 34 yards of total offense.
"Our kids came out ready to play, but just could not capitalize on some opportunities early in the game and we just were not able to sustain any consistency on offense or defense as the game progressed," SW head coach David Lee said. "Our kids played hard to the last whistle and I was proud of their effort. On Monday we will prepare to play a talented Eastern Wayne team next Friday."
The Saints will celebrate senior night. Kickoff is 7 p.m. at the Doyle Whitfield Athletic Complex.
