Princeton reaches Carolina 1A volleyball tournament final

SALEMBURG -- Regular-season champion Princeton cruised into the Carolina 1-A Conference tournament final with a 25-14, 25-14, 25-14 victory over fifth-seeded North Duplin at Lakewood High School on Tuesday evening.
Beth Braswell handed 30 assists for the Bulldogs, who recorded their school-record 20th consecutive three-set sweep. Daisey Eklund contributed 17 kills and six aces. Taylor Carroll provided seven kills and six aces.
Rylee Pate dished out six assists for the Rebels. Brooke Cottle and Shaily McCarty supplied three kills apiece. McCarty served two aces.
Defensively, Taylor Walker posted three blocks. Elizabeth Thornton recorded a team-best four digs.
The top-seeded Bulldogs (21-1 overall) oppose third-seeded Lakewood in the tournament final today
