Matt Kierski logged the game-winning goal midway through the second overtime and Wayne Country Day stunned nemesis Greenfield, 2-0, on Thursday afternoon.
Kierski scored on a through ball from Hunter Bryson.
Two minutes later, Luis Lopez iced the outcome with an unassisted shot that laned in the bottom corner of the net.
"It was a great team performance by the lads and they fully deserved to win the game," WCDS head coach Steve Ellis said. "We switched a few things around and the lads took in the information yesterday (Wednesday) and put it into play today. They worked hard for each other and never stopped to get the win.
"Our supporters helped spur the boys on all game, so much credit to them. It's always a difficult game against Greenfield, but our play and intensity tonight got us the win."
The Chargers (16-2-1 overall) visit Freedom Christian today in the Coastal Plains Independent 1-A/2-A Conference finale for both teams.
WCDS returns home for senior day next Tuesday against Northwood Temple.
It will be the final regular-season home game for eight seniors -- Kierski, goalie Patrick Hall, Tony Townsend, Charlie Roethling, Jacob Magera, Lee McDonald, Hunter Hawkins and Kris Cooley.
