Rosewood's Burton cards 3-over 39 on GMGC links

Lindsey Burton earned medalist honors with a 3-over-par 39 during a five-team match played on the Goldsboro Municipal Golf Course links on Tuesday afternoon.
North Johnston claimed team accolades with a 156, followed by Goldsboro with a 168 and Wayne Christian with a 180. Neither Rosewood nor Princeton had enough competitors to record a team score.
Shamayah Revis complimented Burton with a 52.
Goldsboro's Riley Hales shot a 53. Teammates Helen Keck and Tracy Smith posted nine-hole scores of 57 and 58, respectively. Ashley Smith and Scarlett Casey also played for the Cougars.
Grace Buddin led Wayne Christian with a 58. Cassidy Davis and Brianna Verme each logged a 61. Laura Kim shot a 62.
Adrianna Smith and Kaitlyn Jackson each carded a 62 for Princeton.
