North Lenoir opens ECC 2A soccer season in victorious fashion

AYDEN -- Reed Parris knocked in the eventual game-winning goal and North Lenoir launched its Eastern Carolina 2-A Conference campaign with a 6-1 thrashing of Ayden-Grifton on Tuesday evening.
Parris scored on an assist from Jackson Sullivan, his second of the night.
Braxton Greene provided a hat trick (three goals) on assists from Sullivan, Eric Holloway and Garrett Letchworth. Max McKinley assisted on Parris' second goal.
Joseph Harrison concluded the Hawks' scoring by converting a corner kick from Jorge Rodriguez.
North Lenoir (6-5-0 overall, 1-0-0 ECC) faces Kinston today and Thursday.
