Spring Creek soccer team rolls over Neuse Charter

SEVEN SPRINGS -- Alex Ambriz and David Ortiz each punched in two first-half goals as Spring Creek rolled past Neuse Charter, 9-1, in a Carolina 1-A Conference match.
Ambriz converted a penalty kick.
Ortiz provided two assists for the Gators, who snapped a four-match skid and evened their conference record at 1-1-0. Hugo Zavala and Noah Avila each contributed one goal and two assists.
Milton Bautista, Gustavo Avalos and Carlos Martinez each collected one goal. Juan Hurtado handed out one assist.
The Gators (2-5-0 overall) are the guests of North Duplin today.
