Goldsboro dumps Beddingfield on soccer pitch

WILSON -- Goldsboro punched in two second-half goals and its defense did the rest in a 2-1, non-conference victory over Beddingfield on Tuesday afternoon.
Ruben Quiroz and Colin Williams each scored a goal for the Cougars, who took 19 shots -- 11 on frame.
Goldsboro goalie Chandler Patrick registered 15 saves.
The Cougars (4-6-0 overall) take a 13-day break before opening their Eastern Carolina 2-A Conference schedule Sept. 28 at North Lenoir.
