SMITHFIELD -- Rosewood senior Lindsey Burton carded a season-low 38 and earned medalist honors during a four-team meet contested at Cardinal Country Club on Monday afternoon.

The Eagles posted a three-player total of 154, that included a personal-best round of 53 from Shamayah Revis and a 63 from Sara Bowling. Revis finished third overall in individual play.

"Shamayah started off a little shaky, but quickly recovered and played with confidence the remainder of the match," RHS head coach Shay Campbell said.

Kelsey Sanders paced Wayne Christian with a 57. Brianna Verme shot a 59 and Cassidy Davis completed the Eagles' team score (176) with a nine-hole round of 60. Teammate Laura Kim turned in a 62.

Casey Mitchell emerged as Princeton's low scorer with a 58. Casey Huffman and Anna Lee turned in rounds of 60 and 62, respectively.

Rosewood returns to action today in a five-team meet at Goldsboro Municipal Golf Club. The Eagles will be joined by Charles B. Aycock, North Johnston, Wayne Christian and Goldsboro.
