AHOSKIE -- Ben Cohen and Matt Kierski each notched a hat trick (three goals) during Wayne Country Day's 9-0, non-conference mercy-rule romp over Ridgecroft on Thursday afternoon.
Tony Townsend, Charlie Roethling and Luis Lopez delivered one goal apiece. Noah Adkins and Jacob Magera each had two assists. Townsend and Hunter Bryson each had one assist.
"It was more of a training exercise today for us," WCDS head coach Steve Ellis said. "They defended with everyone in or around the top of the box in the second half, so we had to work hard to finish them off. We have a tough game on Monday, so I was able to rotate all the players in again and give some a rest."
The Chargers (9-1-1 overall) travel to Wilmington Christian on Monday.
