WCDS nets non-conference win

Wayne Country Day swept the doubles courts and dealt Kerr-Vance Academy a 7-2, non-conference defeat on the Wayne Community College courts on Wednesday afternoon.
The Chargers' tandems of Gianna Democko-Jennifer Potts, Eliza Eagles-Ally Willman and Margaux Pope-Aimee Barnes each prevailed in doubles play. Democko-Potts shut out their respective opponents at the No. 1 slot.
Democko, Potts, Eagles and Langley Barnes each won in singles.
Wayne Country Day (6-1 overall) begins a seven-match road swing today against Lawrence Academy. The teams will meet at River Birch in Greenville.
